Nestled in the heart of the village, the ceramics studio was created as a quiet retreat for making — a place where time slows down and creativity can unfold naturally. It is a space designed for immersion: to work with clay, reconnect with the rhythm of the hands, and rediscover the simple pleasure of creating and a sense of inner balance.
The studio occupies the ground floor of a historic stone building, carefully restored with respect for its original character. The renovation, supported in part by the PNRR – Investment 2.2, funded by the European Union – NextGenerationEU (CUP Code: H17B2200034004), followed a conservation approach using only natural and traditional materials — wood, stone, lime, and cocciopesto — allowing the spirit of the place to remain intact.
Inside, the studio is intimate yet fully equipped: six Shimpo pottery wheels, a Rohde top-loading electric kiln, a large communal worktable for up to ten people, a spray booth, and all the tools needed to work with clay comfortably and safely.
Designed to host small groups, workshops, and creative retreats, the space offers a calm and welcoming atmosphere throughout the year — warm in winter, cool in summer — where participants can focus, experiment, and share the experience of making together.

The ancient Japanese technique of repairing ceramics is based on the use of urushi lacquer, carefully applied during the various stages of restoration.
The process, slow and meticulous, is the only one that allows objects used with food to be safe again, giving them a new life while also enhancing them with beauty and value.
